Business Blogs

A Business Blog is a great way to develop your reputation online and interact with potential and existing customers.  It's also a good way of keeping up with the search engines' demand for up-to-date content which is regularly refreshed.  Blogs are dynamic and interactive and should form part of your online promotional strategy.

So how do you create a successful business blog?

  1. Set out your goals - what do you want from your blog?  Who is your target audience?  How are you going to reach them?  How will you measure results against objectives? Are you prepared to be a 'good blogger' ie communicate openly and regularly about your product or service?
  2. Plan the layout and 'look' of your blog - how will you brand it?  What kind of navigation do you need?  What other functionality do you need eg enquiry forms, membership sign-up facilities, etc
  3. Content - plan out regular articles and features to keep your blog content up to date and relevant to your customer base.  If you don't feel you have the time to do this, then find someone who does - don't let your blog get dusty!
